What is feminism?
Feminism: According to Cambrigde dictionary, the belief that women should be allowed the same rights, power and opportunities as men and be treated in the same way or the set of activities intended to achieve this state.
Why do we have feminism?
Women are suffering serious things by society, in particular men. There are three main things which women face from in the past to nowadays are discrimination, persecution and violence. Another the way to say, the women have not any right, decision even in their own life. For example, women couldn’t learn every aspect of education such as IELTS 7+, needn’t to have a high – level of knowledge.
At begin with history of feminism, throughout most of Western history, women were confined to the domestic sphere, while public life was reserved for men. For typical example, in medieval Europe, women were denied the right to own property, to study, to participate in public life. Furthermore, at the end of the 19th century in France, they were still compelled to cover their heads in public and in parts of Germany, a husband still had the right to sell his wife. Even as late as the early 20th, women could neither vote nor hold elective office in Europe and in most of the United State.
Nowadays, India is a society where the male is greatly revered. Therefore women, especially the young girls, get very little respect and standing in this country. The women of the household are required to prepare the meal for the men, who eat most of the food. Only after the males are finished eating, can the females eat. Typically the leftover food is meager, considering the families are poor and have little to begin with. This creates a major problem with malnutrition, especially for pregnant or nursing women. Very few women seek medical care while pregnant because it is thought of as a temporary condition. This is one main reason why India’s maternal and infant mortality rates are so high. Starting from birth, girls do not receive as much care and commitment from their parents and society as a boy would. For example a new baby girl would only be breast fed for a short period of time, barely supplying her with the nutrients she needs. This is so that the mother can get pregnant as soon as possible in hopes of a son the next time.
About feminism nowadays?
Nowadays, I felt like feminism become a trend and this trend is overrated. A lot of women try hard to build these days, even soft women. For instance, If you look tough, you are successful in your career, you are not married yet, you are feminist. However, I have a big question for you that is is it really the feminist? Exactly, women try hard to choose a certain career path, get married or have a child at a certain age, spend time with their family, leading to getting pressure. However, I want to say why the women must to do that, do they want to prove feminism? May be you have misunderstanding with this word: FEMINISM, so let me explain for you to understand completely. Feminism is that the women want to get true right for themselves, it is about giving women the recognition they deserve, appreciating them as equal members of society and giving them a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T. For instance, the opportunities of education are equal both men and women such as learning IELTS 7+ to get a high certification.
Another thing which I want to mention men also get stuck in stress. With the woman, whenever they get pressure, they might express their feeling to release it, whereas in contract, with the men it is impossible, even they might only suffer stress silently. Moreover, have you ever thought about your consequence if you always fight feminism? Having 2 scripts, first, you may end up lonely because you don’t need to have anyone side by side you, another you might punish or force men by you law but I think both scripts the feminists who don’t feel happy with that scene.
Exactly, I want to say feminist that don’t hate men, don’t think men like evils, just want to equity for all gender. So stop fighting for feminism, I mean you can be strong, you can be feminist but makes sure, that’s you and live self-independence. You don’t need to try hard every single day to become a man, it’s not fun! So be happy, be yourself, and don’t try to become another person.
